Lora Laychak serves as an obstetric technician for the Jones Institute at West Penn Allegheny Health System, assisting physicians with office procedures and helping patients in a variety of areas including counseling and scheduling. Jones Institute patients also benefit from Ms. Laychak’s many years of phlebotomy experience.

Prior to joining the Jones Institute, Ms. Laychak was a registered medical assistant and patient care associate II in Pittsburgh Mercy Health System’s Express Admissions department.  She has also served as a medical assistant in clinical and clerical offices in the Pittsburgh area, as well as a private duty medical assistant.

A graduate of Western School of Health and Business, Ms. Laychak completed medical externships at Forbes Lung Associates and St. Francis Medical Center.  In addition to her work responsibilities, Ms. Laychak also volunteers for the American Red Cross, Central Blood Bank and Braddock Medical Center.
