Our Commitment
The Jones Institute at West Penn Allegheny Health System, an affiliate of
the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine of Eastern Virginia Medical
School, is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, using
state-of-the-art techniques. The Institute provides the most advanced level
of diagnosis and treatment to couples with documented infertility
(approximately 14% of American couples) through a multidisciplinary approach
to treatment, with laboratory, psychological and genetic support.
Any evaluation(s), diagnosis or treatment will be provided by
physicians, staff or independent contractors of The Western
Pennsylvania Hospital or Allegheny General Hospital.
The medical professionals at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital and
Allegheny General Hospital understand the delicate relationship
between new science and the timeless human need to reproduce.
We will tailor treatment to your individual needs and help you with your questions and decisions. Our team includes board certified reproductive endocrinologists and highly specialized embryologists, male infertility/urology specialists, scientists, laboratory technicians, nurses and social workers. Clinical coordinators, who are also certified medical professionals, assist you throughout your treatment and answer any and all questions you may have.
We recognize that infertility is often the most stressful life challenge you may face. And we understand that you may not feel comfortable talking about it with family, friends or neighbors. Feeling alone, anxious or even out of control is common.
We strive to create an atmosphere where you feel free to talk with us about your frustrations and fears. We want to help you cope with the emotional issues involved in infertility treatment as we work with you through the medical procedures that may be required. Our aim is to help you to become pregnant in the shortest possible time.
